[poll] If I would participate in NaNoWriMo
So people all over the world are signing up for this NaNoWriMo madness again. And I tell myself: Don't! Let it be! You have no time for that.

Suddenly ideas what I could write in November are stirring in the back of mind.

There is that unfinished SW AU I occasionally work on since 2000. There are only a handful of scenes written so far but I know what should happen in the sequel.

I could write the prequel to my last year's NaNo novel (the one from the 2YN course). It's about Anvar's backstory.

I have also enough hooks in the 2YN novel to write in that world somewhere else with different characters.

There is also a story idea for a Batman Begins AR that would probably work even better as a original fantasy story. It's set in early Arabia or Persia and I don't think that this setting has been used much yet. Or I am mistaken?

So, out of idle curiosity, which one appears most interesting to you?

You knew I would vote for the one that has the potential of a B/D-like relationship in it, right? :) Also, mmmmh Persian/Arabic lushness. Manly men in silk and gold.

I have a terrible weakness for far Eastern settings, so that's where my vote is going. I can't believe that it's that time of year again!

Eastern settings are not used much, I believe. The downside is that I would need a lot of research.

P.S. I'm not just voting for that because of the B/D potential ;). Fantasy is my first love, and if you think that would work better, I say go for it!

None of the above. I'd rather see you finishing, revising, and polishing Anvar, even though it will prevent you from doing NaNo this year. That one was a good story--it deserves more than just being piled up with the excess baggage.

*looks guilty* I don't intend to abandon the 2YN novel. However, I really want to do NaNo and I need something fresh for it.

Uh-oh, what if I think all of them look promising? :) Go with the one your gut likes the most.

I just signed up for Nano this evening - same user name as my LJ name. If you sign up, let me know and I'll add you to my buddies. Woo-hoo!!

*g* A Solomonic answer. I'm 80% certain that I will do NaNo. I use Kyrre as my username on the NaNo boards.

Very good! I think I may have you down as a buddy already for NaNoWriMo, but I'll go and check.

If you're 80% certain, does that mean you'll produce 80% of 50,000 words? :-)

I hope for a new B/D story and wish you fun in November - whatever you'll choose to do.
